The Order of the Eastern Star has a beautiful, renovated intermediate and sheltered care nursing home designed to care for the members of the Order of the Eastern Star, Master Masons and those with a Masonic affiliation.
More than 150 years ago, a parcel of land was purchased, just to the east of Macon, Illinois, to care for Sisters that needed a place to live and be cared for in their twilight years. Our Eastern Star Home began as a self-sustaining facility with gardens full of vegetables, fruit trees, and a chicken coop.
Today, our Home is staffed with dedicated employees who care for our residents with love and compassionate. A resident never needs to be alone or lonely. You may choose a day of quiet solitude or just go down the hall to visit with a friend.
Visitors and residents will find that the Eastern Star Home is one of the finest nursing homes of its kind, and is as unique for the care and love that each one of the residents receive and give back to the staff. The residents of the Home call it home and truly feel that they can make it their own!
